I think you know this, Geoff, but the wording in the piece makes it sound like Ebert’s Pulitzer was for something other than his film criticism, and that he felt no need to separate Pulitzer Ebert from Film Ebert, but his Pulitzer was exactly for his film criticism. He was the first (I think there are now four) journalist to win the prize for film reviewing.
